"The Human Weather" deals with the phenomenon of how changes in the Earth system are progressing from an Anthropocene perspective. In particular, it will present viewers with unique sequences that combine documentary scenes filmed in various regions around the world such as the Arctic, Indian Ocean, Amazon, and Gobi Desert with acting scenes featuring astronauts filmed in Volumetric and Extended Reality(XR) studios.
This documentary shows space and the Earth weather from the perspective of an astronaut living on a virtual space station. By using a virtual production method to film the dramatized scene and uses it as the program’s opening, intermediate bridge (insert), and closing, the effect of the emergence and operation of satellites on the development of meteorology and the numerical forecasting models in current weather forecasting systems are effectively demonstrated. These special factors are expected to create a new type of science documentary that has never been seen before.
