While it is perhaps best known as the land that suffered genocide at the hands of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge, Cambodia has more to it than merely a tragic political history. In fact, it is home to a tropical rainforest widely known as the ‘Breath of Asia’. From vultures and flying foxes to bison and crocodiles, this rainforest harbors some of the rarest species on the planet, as well as sustaining the local human population known as the ‘Punong’ people. In this sensitively filmed two-part series, we come into intimate contact with a hidden corner of the world as few have seen it before.
